I’m a Vancouver based baritone who believes in reducing inequality and inequity. I think there is a fundamental disconnect in western opera from our communities. Over the next several years, we as artists will face uncomfortable situations related to social injustice and cultural discourse. To navigate these tumultuous seas, we must focus on inclusivity and platforming for marginalized voices, and education and conversation with those in positions of power.
I’m excited to work with people who feel strongly about societal issues as they apply to the arts, and a seat on the Council will put me on a team that affects change. I have skills in technical writing and reading, and a drive to protect those in vulnerable positions. I want to hear the experiences of other marginalized voices and learn about the challenges faced by different regions. I believe our challenges are uniquely Canadian, and I believe we can find uniquely Canadian solutions.

Hi! I'm an opera chorister who moonlights as a communications and fundraising professional. I've been a member of Equity since 2010 and have been singing 'out west' since 2016.
I am running to represent my Western Opera colleagues on Council to be their voice and passionate advocate. I look forward to engaging with my colleagues to learn how our union can do better for them.
Finally, I am running to assist new members. When I joined Equity as a young artist, I was unclear how the union could support me. I was not engaged. My goal is that all new artists will feel welcomed and understand how they can count on Equity to protect their workplace health, safety, and well-being.
