Understanding the Differences Between the CTA & ITA

The ITA is a mirror copy of the CTA, aside from the following differences:

  • 2:00 – CTA covers Scope, ITA covers Community Engaged Activity
  • 14:00 – Requirements for Presented Companies differ
  • 18:00 – CTA references Chorus, ITA references Ensemble
  • 28:06 – ITA contains additional requirements for an Extraordinary Risks Rider
  • 35:05 – ITA engagers must get contracts and forms directly from Equity
  • 51:00 and 52:00 – Joint Administration of the CTA or Interpretation of the ITA differ in their process for Dispute Resolution
  • 56:00 – Tangerine Projects are not permitted under the ITA
  • 58:31 – The expectation to negotiate an agreement with ACTRA for recording a production does not appear in the ITA
  • 63:00 – A Stage Manager may be hired as an employee or a self-employed contractor under the ITA – whereas they are required to be hired as an employee under the CTA
