The Equity membership has elected its Councillor representatives for the 2018-2021 Council term. Thank you to all Equity members who cast their vote. The newly elected/appointed Councillors will take office at the first meeting of this term, November 25 to 27. Members may still participate in the Council Focus survey (member login required) until November 4th.
Information on Elections & How To Vote
Voting for Equity's 2018-2021 Council term is open from October 9 to October 31, 2018. Voting kits for the electoral regions where an election is taking place, or candidate statements and other information for the regions with acclaimed candidates, have been mailed on October 1 to all Regular, Life and Regular - Extended Visa members in good standing. If you are an eligible member and have not received your ballot by October 15, please contact Equity's National Office as soon as possible.
Please note: Voting for the 2018-2021 Council term will be online or by telephone only. Please refer to your ballot for a special link to the external voting web page.

Council Election FAQ
Elections will be held in all electoral regions except Alberta South, Atlantic, Eastern Ontario/Outaouais, Eastern Opera, and Saskatchewan, where the number of candidates is insufficient to require an election. The candidates will be acclaimed in those regions.
Regular, Life and Regular - Extended Visa members of Equity in good standing by the enumeration deadline (October 24) are eligible to vote in the 2018-2021 Council elections.
Voting instruction kits will be mailed on October 1 to all Equity members eligible to vote as of September 21. Voting for the 2018-2021 Council term will be by telephone and Internet only. Voting opens October 9 and closes on October 31. Only those votes cast prior to 5:00 p.m. PT on October 31 will be counted. The election results will also be announced on e-Drive, social media and on caea.com on the evening of on October 31, 2018.
For member security and confidentiality, voting takes place on an external website. Your personal voting instructions can only be found in your voter instruction kit.
If you are a Regular, Life and Regular - Extended Visa member in good standing, registered in an electoral region where an election is taking place, and have not received a ballot by October 15, please contact the National Office or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Members can vote for candidates in their registered electoral region only, which reflects either the member's permanent address or the member's discipline (if involved in Opera, Dance, or Stage Management). To view your current electoral region and/or request a region change, log in to review your membership profile and select 'Update your Region/Discipline'. The last day to select an alternate electoral region prior to the 2018-2021 Council election has passed. If you have made a bona fide move to a new permanent address in a different electoral region, please email email@example.com
to update your region.
