Let's Talk Council - April 28, 2021
Equity members had the opportunity to hear from a number of current Councillors about the work that Equity Council does on behalf of membership. We examined Council's function as a governing body and the day-to-day work of being on Council.
Stage Management Focus - April 14, 2021
Equity's Stage Management Committee led a meeting to discuss matters of importance to Equity Stage Managers including the new SM timesheet, CTA overtime, employment standards averaging, and self-advocacy with respect to conversations about overtime.
Safer Workspaces - March 17, 2021
Equity was joined by James Turk from Ryerson's Centre for Free Expression to discuss findings from their Harassment and Discrimination in Canada's Live Performance Industry report. Equity Councillors Kerry Davidson and Jennifer Wigmore gave a presentation on Equity's improved Complaint and Disciplinary Process. The meeting also included a panel discussion with special guests Kate Cornell from Aftermetoo and Grégoire Gagnon from the Cultural Human Resources Council to discuss how we can collectively improve on standards of respect and safety in our workspaces.

HAVEN and LifeWorks - Council Education Session - February 22, 2021
As part of our ongoing education and training, Equity Council invited Harwinder Ahluwalia, Senior Customer Success Manager at Morneau Shepell, to provide an information session on the services offered to Equity members through the HAVEN Helpline and Lifeworks.
