Basic Dues Arrears Billing

Where a member has not remitted a basic dues payment within three months of November 1 each year, that member will be considered in arrears and shall not accept any contract for services within the jurisdiction of the Association, shall not be eligible to attend any meetings of the Association or to cast any vote, and shall not have the privileges or rights of a regular member, but shall continue to abide by all laws and regulations of the Association.

Want to learn more about how your Association operates and have a chance to get to know some fellow members? Join us for Equity’s National Annual General Meeting on Monday, February 25. Please bring your up-to-date membership card to show at the door.

Regular business:

  • Council President and Executive Director Reports
  • Receipt of the audited financial statements and appointment of the auditor for the coming year
  • Council Committee Reports
  • Member resolutions* (if any)

The business portion of the evening (which begins at 6:00 p.m.) will be live streamed (instructions to follow) for members who are unable to attend in person. Members viewing the live stream will not have remote voting privileges.

  • Watch, listen and send in comments/question as they arise. We will try and address questions throughout the meeting.

Special presentation

In the second half of the evening, there will be an interactive session where you can learn intervention skills to de-escalate potentially harmful situations in the workplace. Douglas Stewart (Human Resource and Equity Consultant) and Kristian Clarke (Respectful Workspace Advisor) will moderate.

This session will be part presentation and part group work with opportunities for questions and discussion. Take new skills home with you!

Performing Arts Lodge Winnipeg Information Session

Time:             6:00 - 8:00 p.m. (formal presentation at 6:30 p.m.)
Location:      320 Colony St (The Commons, directly behind PlugIn Gallery) Winnipeg MB Light refreshments will be provided.
Description: For many years, The Performing Arts Lodge (PAL) Winnipeg board has been working hard to find affordable housing for our senior members of Winnipeg's vibrant performing and allied professions. We are pleased to be working with the University of Winnipeg Community Renewal Corp (UWCRC) for space in the new Arts District apartment complex directly across from the WAG's new Inuit Art Centre. It is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2020.  

You are invited to attend an information session to learn about this exciting affordable housing opportunity. 

Please join us as we embark on this exciting next step in PAL's journey to ensure that our senior members of Winnipeg's creative community finally have a place to call "Home."

S.M.Arts Conference Begins
