    Ottawa Outaouais Equity Members Meeting

    Time: 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
    Location: GCTC Lobby - 1233 Wellington Street West, Ottawa, ON
    Description:      Equity members living and/or working in Eastern Ontario/Outaouais are invited to a meet and greet reception with Regional Councillor Catriona Leger. 

    What better way to ring in 2018 than at a gathering with your fellow regional Equity members? Share success stories, hopes for the new year and find out just what Equity has been up to of late.

    This is also a great opportunity to learn more about Not in Our Space! - Equity’s safe and respectful workspaces campaign. Please bring any questions or comments you may have about the campaign.

    Snacks and drinks will be provided.

    This will be an informal gathering with plenty of time for catch up. Please bring your burning questions or submit them in advance via email to catrional@caea.com.

    This is an Equity member-only meeting. Members in good standing are encouraged to attend. Please bring your up-to-date Equity member card to show at the door.

    Meeting with Atlantic Regional Councillor Karen Bassett

    Description:      Equity members living and/or working in Prince Edward Island are invited to a meeting hosted by your Atlantic regional Councillor Karen Bassett.

    Karen is happy to be able to meet some members from the island for the first time. If there is anything in particular you would like to discuss, please email her at karenb@caea.com. 

    She will share the work of Equity council, listen to your ideas and concerns, and present Equity's Not in OUR Space initiative, designed to prevent and address harassment and bullying in the workplace.

    Location: Factory Studio Theatre, 125 Bathurst St - Toronto, ON
    Description:      Equity members living and/or working in Ontario are invited to a meeting hosted by your Ontario Councillors (Kirsten Alter, Second Vice-President Sedina Fiati, Minh Ly, Genny Sermonia, Allan Teichman, Zeph Williams and Paula Wolfson).

    Come meet your elected representatives for an update on current Council initiatives, with a special emphasis on the new Respectful Workspaces Policy and Equity's Not in Our Space! outreach initiative. You have questions? (of course you do) We have answers. The tide is turning in workplaces across the country - Council is part of that, and we want you to join us! 

    Equity members must be in good standing to attend.

    Basic Dues Payment Reminder

    Last day to be in good standing on basic membership dues. Equity basic membership dues of $90 were invoiced on November 1. The three-month grace period following this billing ends January 31. A $10.00 overdue fee will apply to any basic dues payment as of February 1.
