June 21st is National Indigenous Peoples Day, a time to celebrate Indigenous heritage, diversity, and cultures. Taking place on the Summer Solstice, a day with deep cultural and spiritual significance for many Indigenous communities, today marks an occasion for renewal, connection, and celebration.
Equity recognizes the outstanding achievements and contributions of all First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples to live performance and the arts community, and honours the distinct and vital voices of our Indigenous members.

Interested in joining Equity's Indigenous Committee or Allyship Task Force? Equity's Indigenous Committee is dedicated to increasing awareness and voicing concerns regarding issues that impact Indigenous membership, as well as making recommendations to Council on how Equity can better serve and represent its members from Indigenous communities.
