Equity Celebrates National Indigenous Peoples Day
Indigenous Peoples Day June 21st marks National Indigenous Peoples Day, a time to celebrate Indigenous heritage, diversity, and cultures. We recognize the outstanding achievements and contributions of all First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples to live performance and the arts community, and honour the distinct and vital voices of our Indigenous members.

Equity's Indigenous Committee is dedicated to increasing awareness and voicing concerns regarding issues that impact Indigenous membership, as well as making recommendations to Council on how Equity can better serve and represent its members from Indigenous communities.
For more information or to get involved with the Indigenous Committee, contact Deena Aziz, Liaison to Council

Resources for Indigenous artists and industry are available here from the Indigenous Performing Arts Alliance, a member-driven organization serving Indigenous artists and arts organizations across Turtle Island.

CultureBrew.Art offers Indigenous and racialized Equity members free lifetime membership to their digital platform, featuring a Canada-wide searchable database of IBPOC artists – actors, dancers, opera singers, directors, choreographers, fight directors, intimacy directors, stage managers, and more!

To request a promo code to waive the $25 member fee, Equity members should email community@culturebrew.art
