With the new year not far off, Equity has decided to extend the current members’ insurance plan with Crawford & Company for one additional year. This means that members will experience no change in their insurance coverage in 2023.

“Since negotiating the interim plan that took effect January 1st, 2022, we’ve been investigating what comes next. That process has involved speaking to potential partners such as AFBS, analyzing the stats given to us by Crawford, conducting a survey of the membership, and holding a town hall about insurance,” said Equity Executive Director, Arden R. Ryshpan.

“We certainly have a better sense of what members want in their insurance plan, but waiting another year to commit to a long-term plan will allow us to make more accurate predictions about work levels and therefore, the amount of premiums that will be contributed. Generally, Crawford’s administration this past year has been capable, and so, we see no reason to rush this decision.”
