    Equity Recognizes the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day
    RWP September 30 marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day.

    The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation honours the children who never returned home and Survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities.

    Orange Shirt Day, an Indigenous-led grassroots commemorative day, is intended to recognize and raise awareness about the history and legacy of the residential school system in Canada.

    We encourage you to commemorate the thousands of Survivors of residential schools by wearing an orange shirt today, reading the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada's 94 Calls to Action, and by visiting The National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation's website to learn more.
