The culmination of a lengthy, determined effort to make consequential improvements to the rules governing the Association, the amendments to Equity’s Bylaws approved by Council in November 2021 come into effect Monday, January 31, 2022. Among the many changes are clarified definitions of member types and the introduction of a joining process for intimacy directors as well as new joining terms for directors.

“Throughout the previous term, Council and Equity’s staff worked diligently to bring these much-needed changes to bear. The inclusion of intimacy directors in the Bylaws is a watershed moment for the Association,” said Equity Executive Director, Arden R. Ryshpan. “And taking this opportunity to reorganize, reclassify and update our Bylaws to reflect current realities was crucial to meet the needs of our membership.”
