I've been a member of Equity since 1973 but have never yet served in any capacity other than as a member. As I am now retired from Studio 180 Theatre, where I was co-founder and Founding Artistic Director (2003-2023), time is certainly available and I look forward to 'giving back', a tired old phrase perhaps but precisely what is appropriate and timely.
The cultural politics and cultural shifts have been seismic and understanding the changes and responding to the profession with these in mind strikes me as essential.
In addition, I look forward to exchanges and conversations with colleagues not yet familiar to me, or me to them - extending the reach is among the most effective tools for consensus.
