Hi there, this is Henry. I joined Equity in 2013 and have since performed with many talented colleagues in the operatic community.
Despite the headwinds we face in the performing arts, I am more committed than ever to keep performing and convincing the world of the importance of theatre.
I believe in the study of intersectionality and uplifting of marginalized voices in the arts, but I will be the first to admit that I have my inherent biases and am always learning to recognize them. One of my goals in Council is to learn from different voices and disciplines. I also wish to share and shed light on unique challenges faced in opera.
I look forward to serving as your Councillor and navigating these turbulent waters together.
