Canadian Actors’ Equity Association is pleased to announce the results of the Council election and its 2025-2027 Equity Council. As a member-run Association, a national Council of 23 members from across Canada, representing different regions and artistic disciplines, form Equity’s leadership and determine the Association’s objectives over a three-year term.
Elections were held in six regions, while eight candidates were acclaimed in seven other regions. The newly formed leadership will take office at their first meeting on January 26 and 27 and election of the available officer positions will take place at the same meeting.
Equity would like to thank all the candidates who ran and the members who voted and completed the Council Focus Survey. The Association would also like to thank the outgoing Council members who have generously contributed their expertise, enthusiasm, and time over the past term, particularly throughout these very difficult last two years.
With an overall 39% voter return rate, the Council election results (including voter turnout by region) are listed below.
