Equity is pleased to announce the appointment of Connor Meek as Councillor for Southern Alberta. Connor fills the position previously held by Katelyn Morishita, who recently resigned to focus on her professional commitments.
Connor is a Calgary born performer who has had a love of telling story through song for as long as he can remember. He graduated from Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts’ Triple Threat program in 2017, became a member in 2021, and has had the pleasure to work in Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Newfoundland, Niagara, Toronto and around the world with Regent Seven Seas Cruises.
A staunch advocate for human rights and workers’ rights, Connor is committed to continuing to learn and championing the interests of all members. He hopes to use his position on Council to protect and expand on those rights, keeping Equity spaces safe, kind, and beneficial for all.
