The Festival Policy enables Equity members, collectives and independent producers to participate and showcase artistic activities in a festival setting.
Please be mindful — as the Festival Policy is designed to be more flexible and require less oversight by the Association, Equity members undertake activities under the Festival Policy at their own risk with no guarantee of fees or working conditions.
Select a province to view the list of eligible festivals. Other festivals of a similar nature may be considered upon request.
The Festival Policy is available for artistic activities that meet specific eligibility criteria and are produced by individuals, groups of individuals, collectives, and not-for-profit theatre companies that are not adhered to a professional agreement negotiated with Equity.
Equity members may not rehearse or provide any service without Equity’s approval of the Festival Policy application.
