Description and QualificationsABOUT THE RESIDENCY
Developing Theatre
This year, NTS will explore leadership through the lens of developing new creations in Canada. How do leaders carry a project from an idea to an audience? What does new creation ask of leaders, right now, in a very challenging climate for theatre, nationally and internationally?
A national cohort of 8 leaders will spend one week together in Montreal at NTS. Leaders thrive in community, so our goal is to build connections across geography and generations: to bring the country closer together for five days, so that participants leave with new relationships and new perspectives.
Through conversations, questions and shared experiences we want to explore how we create.
Each day, a new guest leader will join the cohort and open a conversation. Together, we hope to build a group that will keep connecting and nourishing each other for years to come.
Guest Leaders: Sarah Conn, Émilie Monnet, Andrea Romaldi, Eric Rose, Kevin Matthew Wong
The Residency will be held in person in Montreal, from Monday, March 15 to Friday, March 19, 2027.
