Equity’s Council conducts its regular business at monthly meetings throughout the year. Members-at-large can request to attend a Council meeting as an observer by contacting the Council President at president@caea.com.

National Annual General Meeting

Equity’s National Annual General Meeting is held online each October. This meeting is an opportunity for members’ to learn more about what the Association and its Council have been working on – bargaining, advocacy, finances, committees, and more.

The 2026 NAGM will be held on Monday, November 9, 2026. Registration will be available closer to the meeting date.

Statement of Affirmation

Equity opens all member meetings with a Statement of Affirmation that reflects the Association’s values and guiding principles:

Equity embraces an open and inclusive environment and encourages respectful behaviour that affirms the dignity of all individuals. Equity further recognizes our shared responsibility for vigilance in creating and maintaining this environment.

Equity recognizes a shared history with Indigenous First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples in Canada. In honour of those that have gone before us Equity commits to working toward understanding and actionable practises of reconciliation.
