By online vote December 15, 2021, Equity Council amended Bylaw 108. This amendment was necessary to accommodate the upcoming changes to the members’ plan for group insurance and health benefits.

As previously stated, Chubb Canada opted to abruptly end Equity’s current plan as of December 31, 2021. The Bylaws required a subsequent amendment to allow for a partnership with “appropriate benefits provider(s)” in lieu of a specific “insurer policy,” as was previously stated in bylaw 108. This change affords Equity more flexibility in exploring options for insurance and benefits providers going forward.

As stated following the significant November Bylaw amendments, a fully revised and renumbered copy of the Bylaws will be made available in January 2022.
