Voting has begun to elect Equity’s governing Council of members. Elections are taking place in the following regions and disciplines:

Alberta South

British Columbia & the Yukon

Eastern Opera

Ontario

Saskatchewan

Stage Management

Western Opera

Life and Regular members in good standing from a region listed above, are eligible to vote in Equity's Council elections for the 2021-2024 term. Voting will close Thursday, November 25 at 5:00 p.m. PT and results will be published immediately following certification of the election.

Please note: The last day for a member to bring their membership into good standing in order to vote is November 17.

Nominated candidates in the following regions have already been acclaimed:

Atlantic

Eastern Ontario & Outaouais

Dance

Manitoba & Nunavut

Quebec

Council Focus Survey
As part of the election process, both voting members and those with acclaimed candidates have been invited to share ideas and priorities in a short anonymous survey that will help Equity’s newly elected Council chart a strong course to an equitable and sustainable future for the Association and its membership. Rebuild and reimagine is more than just an election slogan. It is an imperative.

Members may complete the survey immediately after voting, through a direct link in their email (if they have an acclaimed candidate), or by logging into www.caea.com through the 'Council Focus Survey' banner on the homepage. The survey is accessible now until midnight, November 30.

Eligible voters who have not received a personalized voter instruction email/letter, including a PIN by Friday, November 12 are encouraged to contact Equity's National Office at 1-800-387-1856 (416-867-9165 in Toronto) or elections@caea.com for assistance.
