    Self-Employed Income and CERB Eligibility - Equity Seeks Government Clarification
    Equity and its coalition partners wrote to the government on December 11, 2020 to seek clarification on letters that some self-employed members of our collective organizations have received suggesting they may have to re-pay some of the CERB funds they received (the "Eligibility Letter").

    Equity and its coalition partners have asked the government to release a public statement by December 18, 2020 clarifying that the policies expressed in the Eligibility Letter are under review and a reminder that no penalties or interest owing will be charged for those who do not pay back amounts by December 31, 2020, regardless of the final determination of eligibility.
