Written by John Gray with Eric Peterson, this truly Canadian story premiered in 1978 with Peterson playing 18 spoken parts and Gray as director, narrator and pianist. The production toured widely for over 16 months in Canada, the U.S. and the U.K., and was particularly successful at the Edinburgh Festival, followed by a CBC televised version in 1982. The CanStage production marked the 20th anniversary tour, again featuring Eric Peterson and John Gray.
