The 2013 Honours Award nomination deadline is Monday, September 30th, 2013.
Life Membership is awarded to a member of Equity who has made an outstanding contribution to the performing arts within our jurisdiction.
Honorary Membership is awarded to a non-member of Equity who has made an outstanding contribution to the Association and/or its members, or to the performing arts.
The Larry McCance Award is presented to Equity members in good standing or to former staff members who have made an outstanding contribution to the Association.
The CAEA Award of Distinction was created for Council to express appreciation on an occasional basis. It may be given to an organization, individual, or group of individuals (excluding current staff), in recognition of a significant contribution benefiting the Equity membership.

2012 Honours Awards
Acclaimed actor Evelyne Anderson (Winnipeg, MB) and director Marti Maraden (Stratford, ON) both received Life Membership in Equity in recognition of their extraordinary careers in the performing arts. The 2012 recipient of the Larry McCance Award was former Equity Councillor Dawn Obokata (Toronto, ON) in recognition of her distinguished service to the Association and its members. Dedicated arts supporter Martha Lou Henley (Vancouver, BC) was the recipient of Honorary Membership in Equity.
The 2012 Stage West - Equity Emerging Theatre Artist Award winner was performer, dancer and choreographer Mayahuel Tecozautla (Toronto, ON). Mayahuel has already distinguished herself as a courageous and dedicated creator using the arts to engage diverse communities.

2011 Honours Awards
Calgary-based director Joyce Doolittle and Edmonton performer and director Thomas Peacocke will both receive Life Membership in the Association in October 2011. Long-time Saskatchewan theatre supporters Don and Della Greer will each receive Honorary Membership in Equity, and former six-term Councillor and Council treasurer Sandy Winsby will be honoured with the Larry McCance Award at the celebration will be presented on October 24th in St. John's, Newfoundland.
2011 will also mark the inaugural presentation of the CAEA Award of Excellence, which will be presented to the Dancer Transition Resource Centre, a national organization dedicated to assisting dancers transitioning into, within, and from professional performing careers.
